Warranty Policy

XVELO Warranty Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

XVELO is a U.S. online retailer of selected electric mobility brands, including OOTD, 79BIKE, ZAWES, Y-VOLT and QLIFE.

New eligible products purchased directly through us.xvelogo.com receive the warranty and after-sales coverage applicable to the relevant brand and XVELO supply channel, subject to the brand-specific coverage, warranty periods, exclusions and claim procedures described below.

XVELO remains your primary point of contact for warranty assistance on products purchased directly from us. Where necessary, we coordinate diagnosis, replacement parts, repair arrangements and other approved warranty solutions with the applicable manufacturer or authorized service partner.

This Warranty Policy summarizes the published manufacturer warranty terms and the after-sales support framework applicable to products sold through XVELO. Some manufacturers limit their direct-site warranty to purchases made through specified channels. Where such a channel restriction applies, XVELO will remain the customer's point of contact and will coordinate the applicable support available through the relevant manufacturer, distributor or fulfillment partner. Unless XVELO expressly states otherwise in writing, XVELO does not provide an additional warranty beyond the applicable coverage and any rights available under applicable law.

1. Manufacturer Limited Warranty

Eligible products are covered against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship occurring during the applicable warranty period when the product is used, assembled, charged, stored and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Warranty coverage is not the same for every component or every brand. In particular, a product advertised with a one-year or two-year warranty may include individual components with shorter warranty periods.

Warranty eligibility may also depend on the original sales channel. If a manufacturer publishes terms limited to purchases made through its own or other specified channels, XVELO will coordinate the support available for the XVELO order rather than treating a direct-site manufacturer warranty as automatically applicable without verification.

Important: The applicable component warranty period, rather than a general marketing headline alone, determines the commercial warranty coverage for that component.

2. Warranty Coverage Summary

The following table provides a simplified overview. Detailed conditions are listed in the brand sections below.

Brand Main Warranty Coverage Important Exceptions
OOTD Frame up to 24 months; most major electrical and mechanical components 12 months Battery and charger 6 months; certain wheels, tires, grips and other items have shorter coverage

For a confirmed manufacturing defect, ZAWES's current warranty terms provide coverage for the applicable replacement part and shipment of the replacement part.

Under the manufacturer's current terms, the customer may be responsible for return shipping of a defective component and for local labor, installation or service fees unless XVELO or ZAWES approves another arrangement in writing.

ZAWES warranty coverage is currently limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

6. Y-VOLT Warranty Coverage

Y-VOLT

1-Year Limited Warranty Major Non-Consumable Components Surge V

Y-VOLT currently provides a 1-year manufacturer limited warranty for eligible non-consumable components of the vehicle.

Components currently listed with 12-month coverage include:

  • Motor assembly
  • Lithium-ion battery
  • Controller
  • Charger
  • Air switch and electrical control lock
  • Main cable assembly
  • Battery box lock
  • Headlight and tail light
  • Horn and converter assembly
  • Brake assembly, excluding brake pads
  • Applicable front and rear shock absorber assemblies

  • Combination switch and speed-control unit
  • Frame and specified structural components
  • Electronic throttle and other listed non-consumable components

Y-VOLT's battery warranty includes qualifying abnormal voltage, inability to charge and certain verified capacity failures. The manufacturer's current policy specifies warranty eligibility where tested battery capacity falls below 70% under the stated testing and operating conditions, provided the failure was not caused by impact, misuse or another excluded cause.

The current Y-VOLT warranty begins based on valid proof of purchase and delivery. For an online order, Y-VOLT states that the warranty begins on the day after confirmed delivery or customer sign-off.

Ordinary wear components are not covered under Y-VOLT's standard warranty.

7. QLIFE Warranty Coverage

QLIFE

Published Coverage: 1 Year Frame: 1 Year Battery: 1-Year Pro-Rated

Qlife's current published warranty states that qualifying products are covered against defects in materials and workmanship during the applicable warranty period when used under normal intended conditions.

Sales-channel note: Qlife's direct manufacturer warranty states that its warranty service is provided to the original purchaser through official Qlife channels. For QLIFE products purchased directly from XVELO, please begin all warranty requests with XVELO Support. XVELO will verify the order and coordinate the applicable warranty or after-sales solution available through the relevant manufacturer, distributor or fulfillment partner. The direct Qlife website warranty should not be interpreted as automatically expanding coverage beyond the support applicable to the XVELO sales channel.
Coverage Area Published Qlife Terms
General Manufacturing Defects Qlife product pages describe a 1-year manufacturer warranty for the original owner against qualifying manufacturing defects, subject to the detailed warranty exclusions and eligibility requirements.
Frame 1-year replacement warranty for a qualifying frame defect. The published policy states that frame replacement labor, including removal and reinstallation of components, is not included.
Battery 1-year pro-rated warranty from the date the original purchaser receives the product. Qlife states that confirmed battery faults within the applicable period may be repaired or replaced; a repaired or replacement battery does not restart or extend the original battery warranty period.
Wear & Consumable Items Ordinary wear is not covered. Qlife specifically identifies items such as brake pads, brake rotors, spokes, tires and inner tubes, chains, sprockets, freewheels and crank sets as examples of components generally excluded for normal wear.
Free Accessories Qlife product pages state that free accessories are not covered by the standard product warranty.

For a confirmed covered defect, Qlife's published policy states that replacement parts may be supplied free of charge. Depending on the issue, Qlife may provide parts and labor, direct the customer to perform an appropriate user-serviceable replacement, or require work by an authorized service representative.

Qlife's published policy excludes, among other things, damage caused by accidents, misuse, stunt riding or racing, improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquids or contaminants, unauthorized modifications, incompatible accessories or chargers, failure to follow assembly or maintenance instructions, external events such as fire or flooding, removed or illegible serial information and normal wear.

Qlife also states that its published warranty does not cover products used or purchased outside the United States or Canada.

For second-hand owners, Qlife currently states that remaining warranty service may be considered only if the original one-year warranty period has not expired and the original purchaser's name and order number can be provided for verification. Any claim involving an XVELO-sold product remains subject to order verification and the support terms applicable to the original XVELO sale.

Shipping damage is handled separately from an ordinary manufacturing warranty claim. Qlife's current policy requires transit damage to be reported with supporting photos or video within 7 days of receipt.

8. What a Manufacturing Warranty Generally Covers

Subject to the applicable brand-specific terms, warranty coverage is generally intended for failures caused by defects in materials, manufacturing or workmanship during normal intended use.

Examples may include:

  • Internal motor failure caused by a manufacturing defect
  • Controller or electrical failure not caused by external damage
  • Battery failure meeting the applicable manufacturer's criteria
  • Display or electronic component failure
  • Structural manufacturing defects in covered frame components
  • Other defects specifically covered in the applicable manufacturer's component warranty

The existence of a technical problem does not automatically establish warranty eligibility. The cause of the problem may need to be diagnosed before coverage can be confirmed.

9. What Is Generally Not Covered

Subject to applicable law and the applicable manufacturer warranty, warranty coverage generally does not apply to damage or failure caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Crash, collision, impact or accident damage
  • Misuse, abuse or neglect
  • Improper assembly or installation
  • Failure to perform required maintenance
  • Improper storage
  • Use outside the product's intended operating conditions
  • Overloading beyond specified limits
  • Improper charging or use of incompatible charging equipment
  • Water immersion or exposure exceeding the product's stated protection or operating limits
  • Fire, flooding, severe weather or other external causes
  • Theft, vandalism or loss
  • Customer-caused cosmetic damage
  • Damage caused by unauthorized electrical, mechanical, software or firmware modifications
  • Damage caused by incompatible or unapproved aftermarket equipment
  • Removal, alteration or destruction of required identifying or serial information where that information is reasonably necessary to process the claim
A modification does not automatically eliminate rights that cannot lawfully be waived. However, damage or failure caused by an unauthorized modification may be excluded from warranty coverage.

10. Wear & Consumable Components

Components that naturally wear during riding are generally not covered for ordinary wear.

Examples may include:

  • Tires and inner tubes
  • Brake pads
  • Brake discs or rotors where wear-related
  • Chains and sprockets
  • Bearings
  • Grips
  • Seats and seat covers
  • Fuses
  • Cables
  • Spokes
  • Decorative and cosmetic components

Some brands provide short-term warranty coverage for a manufacturing defect present in a normally consumable component. This does not mean ordinary wear occurring through use is covered.

11. Battery Warranty

Battery warranty coverage varies significantly by brand.

Brand Published Battery Warranty
OOTD 6 months
79BIKE 12 months
ZAWES 12 months under the Core High-Voltage System warranty
Y-VOLT 12 months
QLIFE 1-year pro-rated battery warranty from the original purchaser's receipt date; repaired or replacement batteries remain tied to the original warranty period

Battery warranty generally applies to qualifying manufacturing or electrical defects and does not guarantee that a battery will retain 100% of its original capacity throughout its life.

Normal capacity degradation may not constitute a defect. Battery damage caused by improper charging, impact, unauthorized opening or repair, incompatible equipment, improper storage, deep discharge, excessive temperatures or water exposure may also be excluded.

Y-VOLT currently publishes a specific capacity criterion under which a battery tested below 70% capacity under the manufacturer's stated conditions may qualify for warranty service.

QLIFE currently publishes a 1-year pro-rated battery warranty. Its detailed policy states that battery faults must be assessed and confirmed by Qlife and excludes damage caused by incompatible charging equipment, unauthorized disassembly, use in equipment other than the intended bicycle and other listed misuse or external causes.

12. Shipping Damage Is Different From a Warranty Claim

Damage that occurred during delivery is generally handled as a shipping or delivery claim rather than as an ordinary manufacturing warranty claim.

Please inspect the product and outer packaging as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If you discover visible shipping damage, contact XVELO promptly and provide photographs or video showing:

  • The outer shipping carton
  • The shipping label
  • The protective packaging
  • The affected product area
  • The complete product where reasonably possible

Manufacturer reporting procedures vary. For example, OOTD's published policy requests shipping-damage notice within 14 days, while Qlife currently requires transit-damage evidence within 7 days of receipt and ZAWES asks customers to provide evidence promptly after receipt for transit-damage claims.

We recommend contacting XVELO as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours where visible transportation damage is present, so that we can preserve evidence and begin the carrier or warehouse claim quickly.

A recommended reporting period does not by itself waive any non-waivable right available under applicable law.

Please also review our Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy.

13. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

For products purchased from XVELO, please begin the claim with XVELO Support rather than sending the product or parts directly to a manufacturer.

To help us diagnose the issue, please provide:

  1. Your XVELO order number
  2. Product brand and model
  3. Product serial number or identifying information where applicable
  4. A clear description of the problem
  5. Clear photographs of the affected area
  6. Video showing the fault where reasonably necessary
  7. Any error code shown on the display
  8. Other diagnostic information reasonably requested by the manufacturer or technical support team

XVELO will review the information and may coordinate with the applicable manufacturer's technical team to determine whether additional diagnosis is necessary.

14. Diagnosis & Remote Troubleshooting

Electric bikes, electric dirt bikes and electric scooters contain multiple electrical and mechanical systems. Some faults can be identified remotely without transporting the complete vehicle.

Before a claim is approved, XVELO or the applicable manufacturer may reasonably request:

  • Additional photos or videos
  • Display error information
  • Connector or wiring inspection
  • Battery or charger information
  • Specific diagnostic measurements
  • Confirmation of assembly or maintenance steps
  • Inspection by an authorized or mutually approved service provider where necessary

Please do not open a sealed battery, motor, controller or other high-voltage component unless specifically instructed by an appropriately qualified and authorized technician.

15. Warranty Remedies

The appropriate warranty solution depends on the brand, affected component, nature of the defect and applicable law.

Possible remedies may include:

  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Replacement components
  • Repair guidance
  • Authorized repair
  • Replacement of an eligible defective component
  • Product replacement where appropriate
  • Other remedies required by applicable law

The manufacturer may determine the appropriate commercial warranty remedy after reasonable diagnosis of the defect.

Nothing in this section limits a remedy that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable U.S. federal, state or local law.

16. Parts, Labor & Shipping Costs

Responsibility for parts, labor and transportation differs by brand.

Brand General Manufacturer Approach
OOTD Qualifying warranty issues may be resolved through repair or replacement parts. OOTD's published policy states that covered manufacturing defects may include applicable parts and repair support, subject to its warranty terms.
79BIKE For a validated manufacturing defect, 79BIKE generally provides the applicable replacement component. Local technical assistance may be required for installation or diagnosis.
ZAWES For a valid claim, ZAWES currently covers the replacement part and shipping of the new part. Its published policy places return shipping of the defective part and local labor or installation costs on the customer unless another arrangement is approved.
Y-VOLT Y-VOLT's current one-year warranty provides free repair for qualifying performance failures not caused by customer damage, subject to diagnosis and its detailed warranty conditions.
QLIFE For a confirmed covered defect, Qlife's published policy provides replacement parts at no charge. Qlife may provide parts and labor, authorize service, or instruct an appropriate self-repair. Its frame warranty specifically excludes labor for removing and reinstalling components onto a replacement frame. For XVELO orders, obtain written authorization from XVELO before arranging paid labor or freight.
Do not arrange an expensive third-party repair, freight shipment or international return without written authorization from XVELO. Unauthorized costs may not be reimbursable under the applicable manufacturer warranty.

17. Third-Party Repairs & Modifications

If your product requires repair during the warranty period, contact XVELO before authorizing third-party work.

A manufacturer may decline coverage for damage caused by an unauthorized repair, incorrect installation, incompatible accessory, altered wiring, software or firmware modification, battery modification or other change that caused or contributed to the failure.

This does not mean that merely using a third-party part or service automatically eliminates every applicable warranty right. Warranty coverage will depend on the cause of the failure, the applicable manufacturer terms and applicable law.

18. Original Purchaser & Warranty Transfer

Manufacturer commercial warranties for products sold through XVELO are generally intended for the original purchaser.

In particular:

  • 79BIKE currently states that its limited warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original owner.
  • ZAWES currently limits its commercial warranty to the original purchaser and does not extend it to second-hand owners.
  • OOTD identifies the original purchaser with proof of purchase as the covered customer under its published warranty.
  • Y-VOLT requires valid proof of purchase or delivery information for warranty processing.
  • QLIFE states that its direct warranty is intended for the original purchaser through official Qlife channels. Its published policy also allows a second-hand owner to request remaining coverage if the original one-year period has not expired and the original purchaser's name and order number are provided for verification.

Purchasing a used product from another person does not automatically transfer the original manufacturer's commercial warranty.

19. Replacement Parts & Remaining Warranty Period

Replacing a component under warranty does not necessarily restart or extend the original product warranty.

Where the applicable manufacturer policy specifies otherwise, that manufacturer's rule will apply.

For example, Y-VOLT's current battery warranty states that a replacement battery continues for the remaining warranty period of the original battery rather than starting a new 12-month period.

ZAWES similarly states that warranty repair or replacement does not extend the original commercial warranty period.

Qlife similarly states that a repaired or replacement battery remains covered only for the balance of the original battery warranty period calculated from the original purchase or receipt date.

20. Warranty & Returns Are Different

A manufacturer's limited warranty and XVELO's voluntary return policy serve different purposes.

The expiration of a 14-day or 30-day voluntary return period does not automatically end applicable manufacturer warranty coverage.

For example, a product that develops a qualifying manufacturing defect several months after delivery may no longer qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return but may still be within the applicable component warranty period.

Please review our Return & Refund Policy for change-of-mind returns, cancellations and refund procedures.

21. Products Purchased From Other Sellers

XVELO can coordinate warranty support under this Policy only for products purchased directly through us.xvelogo.com.

If you purchased an OOTD, 79BIKE, ZAWES, Y-VOLT or QLIFE product through:

  • The manufacturer's website
  • Another dealer
  • A marketplace
  • A local store
  • A private seller

please contact the original seller or applicable manufacturer support channel for warranty assistance.

For QLIFE in particular, the manufacturer's current direct warranty states that channel and purchaser verification requirements apply. A purchase from another seller should therefore be handled first through that original seller unless Qlife confirms another support route.

22. U.S. Consumer Rights

The manufacturer limited warranties described in this Policy are commercial warranties provided in addition to any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any implied warranty, statutory right or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived under applicable U.S. federal, state or local law.

Some states provide rights or remedies that differ from or exceed the manufacturer commercial warranty terms. Where applicable law provides a non-waivable right or remedy, that right or remedy remains unaffected.

These limited warranties give customers specific rights, and customers may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
